How to Customize iPhone Lock Screen Access by iPhoneLife



There’s a lot or a little you can access from your Lock screen on iPhone, depending on the settings you choose to enable. For easy access to features you often use, you can customize what is available from your Lock screen and turn on features such as Siri and Reply with Message. However, if you're concerned about privacy, there are some features you may want to turn off. Here’s how to customize iPhone Lock screen access.
To do this in iOS 10 (available September 13):
·         Open Settings.
·         Tap Touch ID & Passcode.
·         Enter your Passcode.
·         Scroll down to Allow Access when Locked.
·         Toggle on all the features you want access to from Lock screen. Toggle off any features you want to keep private.

The only difference between this tip pre-iOS 10 and post iOS 10 is the added option of Home Control, which is the ability to adjust your HomeKit from Lock screen. The Today option has also been renamed at Today View.
To do this in iOS 9 or earlier:
·         Open Settings.
·         Select either Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, depending on your iPhone model.
·         Enter your Passcode.
·         Scroll down to Allow Access When Locked.
·         Toggle all the features you want to appear in Lock screen on. Some options are: Today, Notifications View, Wallet, and Siri.
