How to Use Hey Siri by iPhone Life Magazine

Since its inception, Siri has become more and more useful. It’s obvious that Apple has put a lot of thought into Siri’s place in today’s world, resulting in Siri's ability to do everything from calculations to searching the web and making restaurant reservations. With Hey Siri, Apple’s personal assistant makes things even more convenient.
Hey Siri on the iPhone 6 or older is only available when your phone is connected to power. This is a great feature to use while driving, but if you’d like to use it while on the go, you’ll need to have your device charging with a battery case or external battery pack.
iPhone 6s and 6s Plus (or later) do not need to be plugged in to use the Hey Siri feature. This should apply to the iPhone SE as well.
To activate Hey Siri:
·         Open your Settings app
·         Tap General
·         Select Siri

·         Toggle on Allow Hey Siri.

Your iPhone or iPad will then have you briefly train it to recognize when you say "Hey Siri." You'll be asked three times to say "Hey Siri." Then you'll be asked  to say a couple of phrases. Eventually you'll get a screen saying Hey Siri Is Ready.
·         Tap Done, and you're ready to use the feature.
From here on out, to activate Siri all you need to do is say, “Hey Siri.” Remember that some devices need to be plugged in for Hey Siri to work, but if you have an iPhone 6s or later, Siri will always be on for hands-free use.
